Opinion on RANGABATI by Naba Kishor Pujari

Rangabati, a classic Sambalpuri Song, the identity of Western Odisha across the globe has seen both massive popularity and the recent controversy. It is alleged by some school of thought that the modern rendering of Rangabati Song by Sona Mohapatra in Coke Studio devalued the worth the song carries; also carried a blame to hurt Sambalpuri Spirit. On the other, It was at least applauded that due to modern rendering and playing in an international media has to contribute the legacy of Rangabati to the entire world.
In an age of remix, there is always a chance of not only the revival of music is happening so but a new taste the modern youth mass like to listen is made possible. See my take that got published in Sambad Odia newspaper.
